Name: James Flitcroft

DOB
: 9th June 1996

Nickname: English Bulldog
Hobbies: Motorbikes / Racing / Skateboarding / Baseball

Background:

James started riding motorcycles at the age of 4. His first bike was a PY50 dirt bike and then a Malaguti 50cc.

James then felt that it was road racing he wanted to be involved with so along came a Ballata 50c Mini Moto, which he raced at a couple of Lucky Devils Meetings, where he showed great potential. He even passed experienced riders. His next bike was a Polini 50cc Racing Mini Moto which he really enjoyed riding and the
"Need for Speed" began.

At the beginning of 2005 it was decided to enter James into 3 MMRA British Championship Mini Moto races so he could decide if this was the path he wanted to pursue.

James only raced at 3 out of the 8 race meetings and he finished 14th out of 32 riders and it was obvious that he had what it takes to make a competent rider, plus he really enjoyed the racing experience, and wanted more!!!

James showed so much potential that at the end of 2005 he was given the opportunity to have a go on the British Champions 50cc Metrokit. So off they went to Rowrah in Cumbria. James had never ridden a geared bike before but after a little tuition he got on and rode well. Infact, he was just under 5 seconds off the British Champions time.. (Not bad for the 1st time). Because of this James was offered his first ride for 2006 on the Metrokit 50cc in the MMRA British Championship and so the season begins.
